Box Breathing, sometimes called four square breathing, is a quick and simple meditation that you can do anywhere.
Utilized by Navy Seals, this technique will allow you to slow down, re-center yourself, and improve your concentration.
Let’s try it now:
- Find a comfortable seated position and when you are ready, inhale through your nose for four counts.
- Hold your breath for four counts.
- Exhale through your nose for four counts.
- Hold your breath for four counts.
- And repeat the above steps at least three times.
*If four counts is too much, you can try counts of three.
